Job Description
  • Primary responsibility is to gain market share, drive brand health and generate revenue for the Business Unit by increasing sales through successful marketing of the Powerhouse Brands, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications & advertising. Expectations for role are to work closely with the Sector CMO and the BU GM to leverage robust portfolio, brand plans and platforms/prestige property assets to connect with consumers in a locally relevant way. He/she will be responsible for managing relationships with brand counterparts in Category teams, creating locally-relevant insight driven brand initiatives and drive consumer engagement to meet BU business objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing programs for the market. Turn insights into action by creating locally-relevant brand programs
  • Effectively influence the market’s agenda to execute premier programs and deliver Volume, NOPBT, Share, and Net Revenue Plans for the BU markets
  • Execute the Brand Priorities and Platforms within the BU. Lead and support the commercial team in the execution of the Annual Operating Plans and delivery of key brand & financial goals
  • Partner with BU GM & Franchise Lead in markets to ensure joint focus on the right priorities (for the customer and consumer across all channels)
  • [Develop and] Implement programs for local brands and/or initiatives in conjunction with Category Leadership
  • Develop and align with BU GM and category teams on detailed marketing activity plans to deliver the agreed strategies, including:
  • Pull activities (advertising, consumer promos, sampling and activation)
  • Distribution targets and market activations
  • Work with the Category to ensure ammunition is fit for market and to adapt and localize ammunition provided by Category. Build and activate local playbooks to support priority brands. Lead the execution of the annual marketing plans, including:
  • Development of Portfolio Strategies and Brand Roadmaps
  • Localisation of Global Marketing Collateral
  • Oversight of sampling, consumer promotion and activation campaigns
  • Responsible for leading & managing the local creative agency to deliver on business agenda. Responsible for the copy production process for “Perform” projects
  • Partner with cross functional team to drive impactful marketing programs that have scale, are repeatable, & improve efficiency and effectiveness in market. Coordinates with media team & agency in executing MU specific media plans and sponsorships
  • Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
  • Manage assigned brand budgets and partner with marketing services team to evaluate ROIs for all program spend
  • Understands, develops recommendations and guides critical decisions & trade-offs related to end-to-end business model, financial feasibility, P&L and investments
Lead Innovations on the portfolio to capture untapped consumer and customer opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Results-oriented with a high degree of personal initiative and leadership – can operate well within a low resource, fast-paced cross-functional environment
  • Very high level of business acumen - must be commercially & organizationally savvy and financially astute
  • Exceptional team leader with strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to influence at all levels and comfortable managing conflict
  • Proven commercial project leadership/management skills, ability to manage complex functional interdependencies in project timelines
  • Strong process thinker committed to driving process efficiency, strength in data analysis and interpretation in order to develop business recommendations
  • Deep knowledge of how to develop and launch FMCG innovations, including consumer ideation and Insights processes through to Make/Move/Sell capability
  • MBA - Marketing or related disciplines, 12+ years experience
